TOKATEE remodel > We knew that the time had come to bring the kitchen of our Sunriver vacation home into the 21st century. We also knew that, since this is not our primary home, we would not be able to watch every step of the remodel. We had not been lucky in the past with construction people and we were skeptical about finding a contractor who would be honest, would keep us in the loop and, last, but by no means least, do a skilled and professional job.

Our property manager, Shannon Bassett, of “Home Fridays”, already had hired Ed Busch to do a few minor projects and he had done a great job, but this would be a major undertaking.

When we met Ed, we knew in short order that he was tuned in to what we wanted to do, that he was easy to talk to, that he took pride in his work, and that he had creative ideas that we liked. He and his team developed ideas for our new kitchen that suited us well. PGC, with Ed at the helm, started the job in January – in what turned out to be one of the heaviest snowfall years in recent Sunriver history – and kept the job on schedule despite the challenges of weather-related problems.

Ed kept us apprised of the work progress and was quick to call us or email us when any issue arose that required our attention. We came to trust his advice and his judgment on the little things that came up during a kitchen remodel. When the death of a close family member demanded all of our attention and kept us in Portland, we turned to Ed to make some major decisions. He did not disappoint us, down to the last details, and the end result exceeded all of our expectations.
